What is Blogging

Blogging started out I think back in 1995 with a purpose of just expressing once thoughts amongst readers who had the same ideas. The word blog comes from the root word web blog, if you have a blog and you ad and remove entries and you edit post that is what we called blogging. When you blog you are not called as an author but a blogger and all the things that you have written is not called an article but an entry, post or blog post. Blogs comes in web pages, images, text, advertisements and links to other blogs

Blogs can be just about anything under the sun, anything that captures your interest but recently a blog is not just about anything but most of the new blogs now are having a theme, either it is for marketing, affiliate marketing, make money online, seo blogs, education, humor, business, photo, entertainment, politics and a lot of categories that you can think of along with the main purpose of it to express once interest. Blog started out with a limited resources but now it even surpass the mainstream media, blogs even had the news first before any radio, print or a television show.

One good news is blogging does not require a future blogger to spend for their blog because we have a lot of free platforms available for you including wordpress, blogspot, livejournal, typepad, bravejournal and a lot more. Themes or templates are all available online and tons of them are available for free. Setting up your blog should not be difficult but if you found yourself in trouble all you have to do is to email the support team of the application in trouble. Sounds fun now isn’t it?

But not all about blogging is fun, a blogger sometimes experience a mental block and that is so depressing. Sometimes you wish to write on some issues in life or around you but you do not know where to start, how to start it or how you will pull through a topic. Some says it is better to fall for one category for it will be an easy job for you to look for a topic and had an easy archiving and can make visitors return for another topic of its category. I think it is correct but I also believe that an easy traffic comes with a “hot issue”. Hot issues offline is what we called a SEO thing online.

Search Engine Optimization is the best way to generate traffic, this is not for everyone. It takes a lot of learning and reading and applying before you can top the search engines. This is important for the fact that almost everybody who has computer is now reading news online and the search engines are their tool to look for that specific news. So topping a news is absolutely will make you and your blog a good souce of traffic.

A good traffic means a good income. Blogging is also for monetizing, yes you can earn online. One easy way is through Google Adsense, you just have to apply for it and include the codes in your blog. It is a pay per click thing but you the owner should not click that for you will get penalized for doing so. The more traffic, the more impression you can generate and the more chances that a visitor would click your blog and that is an income already plus the many affiliate programs that you can join and can make you an extra dollar too.

But to top it all, blogging is not all about making money online, toping the search engines and expressing oneself but indeed it is also a great way to meet new people online from all over the world. Commenting to other blogs and answering you commenter’s will generate friendship through blogging.

The success in blogging is on how you will be different amongst the millions of bloggers in the blogospere and how will you be as a blogger. Friendly or not? You decide.
